1.     My Prayer
a.     I have been for the last day or so watching from a distance online as a story continues to unfold about a black man who died  during his arrest while an officer held his knee to the mans head as he lay on the ground, handcuffed, begging for an opportunity to breathe. I went to the sanctuary to pray and literally asked God what could I say about this, what could I do about this, what was I supposed to say when I take the opportunity to preach this evening.  What He told me was clear and quick in coming.
                              i.         "if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem"
1.     As I sat there on the floor near the altar Bible verses started to come to me
a.     Matthew 12:30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. KJV
b.     Luke 11:23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. KJV
c.      That means there are things that I either help or hinder.  Period.  I am not a casual observer sitting on the sidelines watching as life unfolds around me taking no part.  I have an opportunity and responsibility to DO SOMETHING with every piece of knowledge that passes into my realm of consciousness.  I should rise to the occasion and take RESPONSIBILITY in the world and happenings around me, whether those things be right down the road or across the plant
                                                                       i.         Luke 10:30 And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31 And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. 36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. KJV
2.     Emotional Response
a.     In Star Trek (the new one) the scene about the bullies trying to get Spock to have an emotional response.
                              i.         He beats the dog out of them - but does he change anything?  Maybe so, maybe no
ii.         The enemy will put a stick to us and poke us, playing on our emotions and allowing us to get upset, angry and want to fight. And what we often do is share our opinions to all who will listen, vow to stand for the underdog and  . . . Just vent.  Remember what Jesus said, we are either gathering or scattering.
iii.         We take things personally.  And we SHOULD - but not the point where our opinion outweighs our responsibility to DO SOMETHING and our wisdom is clouded with emotion.  The Bible teaches us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
iv.         I cannot be certain that my opinion will change the course of human history or bring healing to past wrongs - but I can be certain that my prayers will gather instead of scatter.
3.     How To Fight
a.     How do I fight an enemy who I do not understand and who seems to be more powerful than I am?  An enemy that seeks to separate and divide and tear down?
                              i.          Esther fasted and prayed and planned how to win.  While emotion was certainly involved - it was her life and the lives of her people that were at stake - it was wisdom that won - not braun, not sword, not opinion, but wisdom
4.     Who Are We Fighting?
a.     We want to make it man against man, personal.  When we allow emotion to lead instead of anointing and wisdom we run the risk of losing the war for the sake of the battle.
                              i.         Paul mentions the good fight two times
1.     1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. KJV
a.     Good means worthy and valuable - fight for what is worthy, what is valuable
2.     2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight , I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: KJV
5.     Chosen Weapons
a.     Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me - is the dumbest thing ever. Broken bones may heal but words cause damage that can last a lifetime.  Choose your weapons well for the fight you face, you arent fighting against skin color, or people, or groups of people . . .
                              i.         2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; KJV
1.     My
a.     Rage
b.     Opinion
c.     Pedigree
d.     Solid argument
                                                                       i.         Will NOT pull down strongholds

2020.05.24 - Miracles - Restoration of Years Lost

2020.05.24 - Miracles - Turn Back Time
Monday, May 18, 2020
10:43 AM

1.     I Need More Time
a.     Joshua 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. KJV
2.     Miracle of Restoration of Years
a.     Joel 2:24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.

25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten , the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. KJV

2020.05.20 - Revelation

2020.05.20 - Revelation
1 Corinthians 2:9-16

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

In the OT they walked for many years without
Coming to an  understanding of Who God really was or and understanding of His will.  In the same way those that walked along the road w/ Jesus after His resurrection needed a Revelation

Revelation 1:1
1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
KJV
Luke 24:31-32

31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
KJV
Ephesians 3:1-5
3:1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward:

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
KJV

2020.05.17 - Miracles - Born Again

2020.05.17  - Miracles - Born Again

1.     Miracle as in John 12:18
a.     NT:4592 semeion (say-mi'-on); neuter of a presumed derivative of the base of NT:4591; an indication, especially ceremonially or supernaturally: KJV - miracle, sign, token, wonder.
                            i.         NT:4591 semaino (say-mah'-ee-no); from sema (a mark; of uncertain derivation); to indicate: KJV - signify.
2.     Born Again
a.     John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."  3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."   4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"   Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'  8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."   9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him,"How can these things be?"  10 Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?  11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.  12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?  13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.  14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,  15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.  16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.   NKJV

TOO BIG FOR WHERE I AM
Perhaps God is wanting to do something so big in your life you cannot at this point contain it. You are too rigid, too religious, to dependant on horizontal things and focused across the horizons you see in front of you rather than looking upward to Jesus, who is The Author and Finisher of our faith

THE OCTOPUS
• The octopus in the video is you
  • You have been led to or even captured and placed in a stronghold or place

  • The fortress of the enemy and his defenses ALWAYS has an escape route but you MUST trust God to show you where that escape route liies
    • The voice of the one person is as God
  • I KNOW he can do this, just stand and watch, watch what he can do!
  • God knows who you are, God knows what you are capable of and where you end off He begins to take it from there
    • The other voice is those who say it cannot be done• There is almost always a voice saying it cannot be done, this is the end!

Mark 4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still . And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? KJV
