To operate as a priest means I must draw closer to God - when I do I am forced to make decisions, not just once but over and over again.  I  must recognize that to go where He is - which is where He wants me to be - my capacity of "doing" must be enlarged and I must learn to live beyond what I am capable of living on my own 

 

 

1.     Kings

a.     Earthly jurisdiction and authority

2.     Priests

a.     Religious jurisdiction and authority 

3.     Saul And The Lost Kingdom

a.     Offered sacrifice and was not a priest

                                i.         Exodus 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. KJV

4.     Order of Melchizedek

a.     Could only be born a priest or made one by God

b.     There are only two Priest Kings listed in the Word of God

                                i.         Melchizedek and Jesus 

                               ii.         Look at Obededom, God does what God wants to do

5.     Ducks In A Row

a.     God wants BOTH

                                i.         Having in all together on earth does now mean you are known in Heaven 

1.     Great bank account - cannot pray

2.     Nice lawn - never opens BIble

                               ii.         Having a Name in Heaven does not mean you rule effectively on earth 

1.     Great preacher - lousy marriage

2.     Great leader - fails to pay bills 

6.     View of Heaven 

a.     Are just gonna play harps all day? 

b.     Are we gonna rule and reign

                                i.         Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.                               i.         Insolent

                             ii.         Proud

1.     Also to make room 

2.     Wide 

2.     House On The Wall

a.     She lived on the wall

                              i.         She could see all that went on outside the city 

                             ii.         She could see all that went on inside the city 

                           iii.         She straddled the "fence"

1.     She was on the wall

a.     Not outside totally away from safety 

b.     Not inside totally inside the boundaries of safety

3.     Shadow Of The Lost

a.     She was a shadow or type of those who are or were once lost

                                            i.        By Eastern culture she would have to have been asked for permission for the spies to enter her home, and when asked she granted permission.

1.     Many are just waiting to be told The Good News - 

a.     we cannot assume the answer will be no

b.     The spies had every right to assume her answer would be  no

1.     They were SPIES sent to spy on her home

b.     She may have lived "on the wall" but she had heard . . .

                              i.         This is a prophecy and revelation of things that will come to pass, even now in OUR FUTURE and still there will be kings and priests . . .

                             ii.         Kings - 

1.     NT:932 basileia (bas-il-i'-ah); from NT:935; properly, royalty, i.e. (abstractly) rule, or (concretely) a realm (literally or figuratively): KJV - kingdom, reign.

a.     NT:935 basileus (bas-il-yooce'); probably from NT:939 (through the notion of a foundation of power); a sovereign (abstractly, relatively, or figuratively): KJV - king. 

                           iii.         Priests - 

1.     NT:2409 hiereus (hee-er-yooce'); from NT:2413; a priest (literally or figuratively): KJV - (high) priest. 

a.     NT:2413 hieros (hee-er-os'); of uncertain affinity; sacred: KJV - holy.

4.     Jurisdiction

a.     I may have authority in DC but not in another Church

b.     Matthew 28:20 the word power means - 

                              i.         NT:1849 exousia (ex-oo-see'-ah); from NT:1832 (in the sense of ability); privilege, i.e. (subjectively) force, capacity, competency, freedom, or (objectively) mastery (concretely, magistrate, superhuman, potentate, token of control), delegated influence:  KJV - authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength.

5.     Now I Can Preach 

a.     1 Chronicles 11:4-5

1.     What has the enemy told you that you cannot have?  God says it is yours!
