1.     The Fame of A Good King

a.     1 Kings 10:1 When the queen of Sheba heard about Solomon, she came to test him with hard questions. 2 She traveled to Jerusalem with a large group of servants and camels carrying spices, jewels, and much gold. When she came to Solomon, she talked with him about all she had in mind, 3 and Solomon answered all her questions. Nothing was too hard for him to explain to her. 4 The queen of Sheba learned that Solomon was very wise. She saw the palace he had built, 5 the food on his table, his many officers, the palace servants, and their good clothes. She saw the servants who served him at feasts and the whole burnt offerings he made in the Temple of the Lord. All these things amazed her. 6 So she said to King Solomon, "What I heard in my own country about your achievements and wisdom is true. 7 I could not believe it then, but now I have come and seen it with my own eyes. I was not told even half of it! Your wisdom and wealth are much greater than I had heard. 8 Your men and officers are very lucky, because in always serving you, they are able to hear your wisdom. NCV

2.     What I Heard . . .

a.     So she said to King Solomon, "What I heard in my own country about your achievements and wisdom is true.

                              i.         What God has done and is doing for us is something to talk about.  We can testify of His great love for us in our words and in our lives.

3.     What I See . . .

a.     I could not believe it then but now I have come and seen it with my own eyes . . .

                              i.         Hearing about good stuff is good . . .seeing it is even better

4.     Lucky Servants

a.     Your men and officers are very lucky, because in always serving you, they are able to hear your wisdom

                              i.         The closer you are the more you hear

ii.         The closer you are the more you are blessed

iii.         Don’t let your blessing blind you

1.     Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. KJV

2.     Just because you are blessed does not mean you are right with God . . It just means God is right with you.

3.     Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. KJV

a.      There were those that were being blessed because those who were The Blessed were PRAYING for them to be blessed.

2021.03.28 - 4 Sale (NOT)

2021.03.28 - For Sale

Wednesday, March 10, 2021

1:41 PM

1.    For Sale

a.    Everyone is trying to sell us something

                                i.         Ads on

1.    Tv

2.    Radio

3.    Banners

4.    Social media

5.    Even Microsoft Word wants my opinion about their product

6.    Cant even look at the weather without being bombarded with adds

ii.         What does that say about the life we live

1.    That almost everything is for sale - if you can dream it up, you can likely buy it

2.    That almost everything is for sale - if the price is right

2.    Abraham, Isaac and Esau - what could have been . . .

a.    Think back over  your walk with God about how many times you have heard the phrase "Abraham, Isaac and Jacob" . . . But Jacob was NOT the next in line for the blessing, Esau was.  Here is what happened . . .

3.    The Story

a.    Genesis 25:24  When the time came, Rebekah gave birth to twins. 25 The first baby was born red. Since his skin was like a hairy robe, he was named Esau.[a] 26 When the second baby was born, he was holding on to Esau’s heel, so that baby was named Jacob.[b] Isaac was sixty years old when they were born. 27 When the boys grew up, Esau became a skilled hunter. He loved to be out in the fields. But Jacob was a quiet man and stayed among the tents. 28 Isaac loved Esau because he hunted the wild animals that Isaac enjoyed eating. But Rebekah loved Jacob. 29 One day Jacob was boiling a pot of vegetable soup. Esau came in from hunting in the fields, weak from hunger. 30 So Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red soup, because I am weak with hunger.” (That is why people call him Edom.[c]) 31 But Jacob said, “You must sell me your rights as the firstborn son.”[d] 32 Esau said, “I am almost dead from hunger. If I die, all of my father’s wealth will not help me.” 33 But Jacob said, “First, promise me that you will give it to me.” So Esau made a promise to Jacob and sold his part of their father’s wealth to Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and vegetable soup, and he ate and drank, and then left. So Esau showed how little he cared about his rights as the firstborn son.

4.    The Object of Our Worship

a.    Romans 1:20 There are things about him that people cannot see—his eternal power and all the things that make him God. But since the beginning of the world those things have been easy to understand by what God has madeSo people have no excuse for the bad things they do. 21 They knew God, but they did not give glory to God or thank him.Their thinking became useless. Their foolish minds were filled with darkness. 22 They said they were wise, but they became fools. 23 They traded the glory of God who lives forever for the worship of idols made to look like earthly people, birds, animals, and snakes. 24 Because they did these things, God left them and let them go their sinful way, wanting only to do evil. As a result, they became full of sexual sin, using their bodies wrongly with each other. 25 They traded the truth of God for a lie. They worshiped and served what had been created instead of the God who created those things, who should be praised forever. Amen. 26 Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do.

5.    For Sale - Or Not

a.    Matthew 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. KJV

2021.03.10 - Rhonda Sermon

Last night I was listening to this song and all of these scriptures just started flooding my mind. The song was “Another in the fire”

There's a grace when the heart is under fire
Another way when the walls are closing in
And when I look at the space between
Where I used to be and this reckoning
I know I will never be alone

There was another in the fire
Standing next to me
There was another in the waters
Holding back the seas
And should I ever need reminding
Of how I've been set free
There is a cross that bears the burden
Where another died for me
There is another in the fire

All my debt left for dead beneath the waters
I'm no longer a slave to my sin anymore
And should I fall in the space between
What remains of me and this reckoning
Either way I won't bow
To the things of this world
And I know I will never be alone

Daniel 3

~Shadrack Meshack and Abednego refused to bow down and worship the statue. They were not concerned with their well-being. They were concerned with what God thought of them not men. They knew no matter what happened to them they God would take care of them in heaven or on earth. If they lived or died.

Daniel 6

~The Lord sent an angel to shut the lions mouth, even though Daniel was locked in the cave all night with hungry lions the Lord kept him.

Matthew 14:25-31

~The disciples were on a boat and there was a storm. Peter saw Jesus walking on the water and asked could he come to him. Jesus told him to come. When Peter got out of the boat the wind and waves scared him and he began to sink. He called out Save me Lord. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him.  And said “You have so little faith, why did you doubt me?”

Jesus was right there and He immediately grabbed Peter, He did not hesitate.

Exodus 14

~Can you even imagine this sight? The children of Israel leaving Egypt the Lord told them in verse 14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm. And you all know the story of how God greatly delivered His children. Parting the Red Sea and they all walked across on dry ground. The Egyptians chased after them and the Lord folded back the waters and they were all killed.

John 3:16 For God SO loved the world that he sent Jesus so that whosoever believed in Him would have everlasting life.

2021.03.06 - How To Fight With Church People

1.     John Mark

a.     Went with Paul and Barnabas on their first missionary journey

                              i.         Acts 12:24 But the word of God grew and multiplied. 25 And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark. KJV

b.     Departed from them . . .

                              i.         Acts 13:13 Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. KJV

2.     Paul and Barnabas Disagree

a.     Acts 15:35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also. 36 And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. 37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. 38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. 39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; 40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. 41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches. KJV

3.     Oh What A Verse

a.     Darkest Hour/Look What Paul Writes

                              i.         2 Timothy 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. KJV
