1. 1. Why Identity Is Important

1. a. Satan does not want you to know who you are in Christ, but why?

1. i. You lose your authority if you do not know who you are in Christ

1. ii. You cannot rebuke, come against, wear down or cast out in Jesus Name 

1. b. Illegitimate heirs cannot claim the throne and have no authority

1. 2. God's Sovereignty challenged

1. a. Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: KJV

1. b. You arent good enough as you are - God has made a mistake is what the enemy is trying to convince you 

1. i. Subtil - means cunning and crafty in a bad sense

1. 1. It all began right here - hath God said . . .

1. a. Instilling doubt that God really said what He said

1. b. That God really meant what He said

1. c. That God was really good and that He would withhold something good from his creation 

1. d. Satan was attacking not mans identity but Gods.

1. i. When we do not believe we are who God says we don’t believe God is who He says HE IS either.  If you ever doubt God you will doubt yourself.

1. 3. Misery Love Company 

1. a. Satan was not even supposed to be there, this is not what he was create for in the first place.  

1. i. Isaiah 14:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols : the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! KJV

1. ii. Satan was roaming earth when he once walked Heaven
