Authority From What God Has Said

Exodus 5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. KJV

Imagine the guts it took to go into to Pharoah and say what they said to him.   Imagine how things could have gone and what it could have cost them.

 

It May Get Worse Before It Gets Better

Exodus 5:21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us. KJV

Most of the time, it does get worse before it gets better.   War is ugly, painful and sometimes lasts a long time. Don’t give up. Don’t lose faith

 

I Just Don’t Understand

Exodus 5:22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? 23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all. KJV

You may not now nor ever understand why God has called you to do what He has called you to do.  You job is not to understand, but to obey.  Your job is not to explain, but to obey.  Your job is not to be liked, but to obey.   They seemed always to be angry with Moses about something.

 

You Must Be Willing To Look Like You Are Crazy

Luke 8:50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. 51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. 52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. 53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. KJV

Don’t just pray for sane stuff, pray for extraordinary stuff!

KJV
