Ephesians 4:11 And he gave
some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some,
pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the
unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth
be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of
doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in
wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all
things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly
joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to
the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body
unto the edifying of itself in love. KJV
Jesus was all five – when He
ascended the mantle He left was broken into the five fold ministry.

Prophets –
a.

("prophet"); by analogy, an inspired speaker; by extension,
a poet: KJV - prophet.
i. NT:4253 pro (pro); a primary preposition; "fore",
i.e. in front of, prior (figuratively, superior) to: KJV - above, ago,
before, or ever. In comparison it retains the same significations.
ii. NT:5346 phemi (fay-mee'); properly, the same as the
base of NT:5457 and NT:5316; to show or make known one's thoughts, i.e.
speak or say: KJV - affirm, say. Compare NT:3004.

flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men
shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants

Prophecy Has A
Purpose
i. 1 Corinthians 14:24 But if all
prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is
convinced of all, he is judged of all: 25 And thus are the secrets of his heart
made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report
that God is in you of a truth. KJV

The Call
i. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I
formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the
womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. 6 Then
said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. 7 But the LORD said
unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send
thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. 8 Be not afraid of their
faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 9 Then the LORD put
