1.     Times He Set Himself Apart

a.     For Prayer & Fasting

                            i.         Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. KJV

1.     Notice that Jesus was also tempted here, when He was alone.  We grow in Church but there are times that Go will lead us, even drive us to a place of solitude and in that place we can be promoted.

                          ii.         For Mourning

1.     Matthew 14:10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. 11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus. 13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. KJV

c.  To Rest

                                         i.         Mark 6:30  And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. 31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. 32 And they departed into a desert place by ship privately. KJV

d. Private Ministry

                                         i.         The woman at the well

ii.         When He was teaching in parables to the disciples

iii.         In the Garden when He was praying

                                      iv.         When He slept

2.     What He Saw He Did

a.     John 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel. KJV

                            i.         Did Jesus, as a man, remember what He had in Heaven or did He have any knowledge of it outside of what He learned as a man?

ii.         Where did Jesus see what He saw?
