1.Recap

a.    We have talked about this several times in the past few weeks - the fact that a bad day is not the same as a bad heart.

                                   i.         People can love The Lord with all their heart and really be trying to do what is right and still have a bad day and really blow it with a bad decision or something that they say.

ii.         Bad hearts are a different matter - this is the place where we may love God but are not seeking Him or His will, not looking out for ways to better serve Him and His people by being continually transformed but remain in a carnal mindset seeking self and self will rather than the will of God

1.   Recap of previous Scriptures

a.   Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? 10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. KJV

b.   Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart , O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. KJV

2.All Things

a.    Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? KJV

                                   i.         Polar bear story - nothing left but blood on the ice

1.   Not what they wanted to happen but they made the best of what did happen

2.   In much the same way that no one could find the polar bear the Bible says that God removes our transgressions from us . . .Psalms 103:12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. KJV

3.God's Promise

a.   Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly . . .15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. 16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. 17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? KJV

4.Abrahams' Bad Day

a.    Genesis 16:1 Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. 2 And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. KJV

5.Abrahams Lineage

a.    Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph(by Rachel)

6.The Pits

a.    Genesis 37:23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, his coat of many colours that was on him; 24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. 25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt. 26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood? 27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brethren were content. 28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt. KJV

                                   i.         Josephs' "escape" was made possible by the offspring of his great great grandfather with Hagar - descendants of Ishmael,
