Exodus 3:11
11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I,(contrast that with Isaiah 6:8 – Here and I! Send me!) that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? KJV
· Have you ever had a moment where you forget who you are because you forgot Who He was?
John 13:23
23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
KJV
· Gospel of John – Jesus as God
o John 1:1-5
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. KJV
· The tremendous wonder of The Gospel of John – all that he saw Jesus to be and all that he taught us of His nature – John’s closeness with The Christ, The Messiah, The God Man, and what he wanted us to see himself as was one who Jesus loved!
· He points out not how close he was to Christ, but rather how close Christ was to Him!
Some say love is blind – when it comes to God love opens our eyes
· John 21:2-7
3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. KJV
Known in Heaven is better than being known on earth
Love causes, rather empowers us, to do many things!
