Job 1:6-13

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

o   Satan had watched.  He had listened.  He had studied how others would react when faced with tribulation and trials

o   He knew because he was the one who had caused the chaos

o   He also knew bc when he attacked Job he had encountered that hedge

11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. KJV

 

 

 

We live in a world of:

• Pain 

• Broken lives

• Broken families

• Broken things

 

God bring you beyond your broken and put your pieces back together again.  He promises

• Joy 

• Peace

• forgiveness

 

Job responded differently than what satan had planned.  

• Turn off the expected response

• Do something different to get something different

• Just wait for Him 

• Let the freedoms of The Holy Ghost free us from routine 

• We learn to cope rather than learn to break free

 

Jeremiah 29:11

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. KJV

 

Romans 8:28-31

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? KJV
