Your name and title do not determine your level of influence

Mordecai (Jones, Smith, Brown) KNOWN In the OT You will either know me by who my father is or know me from where I come from - you will see and know what He has brought me out of.

·       Raised a queen

·       Influenced a king

·       Changed/saved a nation

God doesn’t call  you because you know people - He calls you because you know or will know Him

God lights candles  in dark places

Esther 2:5-7

5 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;

6 Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.

7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.KJV

·       Esther 2:10 Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not shew it. KJV

·       Esther 2:20 Esther had not yet shewed her kindred nor her people; as Mordecai had charged her: for Esther did the commandment of Mordecai, like as when she was brought up with him. KJV

o   Mordecai was a type/shadow of The Holy Ghost - she continued to listen even after she was "promoted" to a position of prominence

Do You Have "A People?"

·       Esther 3:5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath. 6 And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai. KJV

o   Mordecai had so much influence Haman wanted to wipe out his entire nation!

Stop waiting on man to recognize you. God know who you are

• Not all men , just certain one are the ones you want to see you

• God may not have called you to have influence their lives because the can’t help you get to where God has called you to be

• Rahab wasn’t known by the king but she was known among the rabble and spies. Look how that turned out for her
