Armor of God
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.
This is the verse that really stood out to me “having your loins girt about with truth and having on the breastplate of righteousness.
Just imagine if we and the world truly knew WHO they were in God’s eyes. I thought it was interesting that the belt of truth covers your loins. What is going on in the world today? People don’t know who they are. Some don’t know if they are man or women, some do not identify with either man or women.
Genesis 1:26-28 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works.
Ephesian 6:15-17 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
John 8:31-32 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
So we must have the full armor of God. There are so many things trying to pull us from God. So many things after our families and our children. I saw a video last week of the San Francisco men singing a chorus about coming for our children. We need to be sure not only we are wearing the full armor of God but that we are preparing our children for battle. The children are our future. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
