1.     Myths And Fairy Tales 

a.     What do you think of the statement "all we need is God?"

b.     While I am not a "Jesus Plus" preacher, I do think that God intended for us to have more than just Him in our lives. 

                              i.         We can coin the phrase" God is all I need" but God saw things differently.  Or at least God said it was not good that man be alone and then throughout Scripture gave us examples of how we are stronger together, in families, churches and teams.

1.     Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. KJV

c.     We can use this idea to stand alone and become an outcast, not entering into to Christian fellowship and being a consistent part of the church 

2.     Two Are Better Than One

a.     Luke 5:17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. 19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him  down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus. KJV

b.     Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one ; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. KJV

3.     Choose Good Friends

a.     John 5:1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 

7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. 8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. KJV

b.     Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. KJV

                              i.         John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. KJV
