Luke 8:43-48

43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately.

48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace KJV

 

ISSUES

• o She had money issues - she was broke
• o She had heart issues - she was broken
• o She had trust issues - how could she not?
• o She was a social outcast
• o She was nameless, 
• o Not only was she considered unclean but all she touched was also made unclean
• • Yet she reached out to grab hold of Jesus 

 

One ISSUE can lead to multiple ISSUES

• o All of her issues sprang from her issue . . . Fix that and all else followed suit

 

• • When we know what His will is - there should be a boldness

 

• • She owned her healing

 

THE SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE 

Mark 10:46-52

46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight .

52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight , and followed Jesus in the way. KJV

 

What was sight to him?  He had never experienced it . . .

 

You gotta go all in . . . Walk away from the past and into the future

 

He didn’t just wanna be better - he wanted to be healed

What we too often want is to feel better - God wants to heal us!
