Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. KJV
· Take time - MAKE time to get away from it all, if even for a few minutes a couple of times a day. Be alone with God, which will allow intimacy in your relationship with God to grow deeper and stronger.
· Covet and protect what you have with God, especially those moments that you hide away with Him. Close doors, put do not disturb signs up, silence your phone, let it be known you are unreachable for a few moments to be specifically on purpose with God
· If you dont protect your time with God and allow cultivate moments where the Spirit is flowing you cannot and will not grow - by protect I mean don't allow interruptions that will distract you from what you are hearing Him say - sometimes when it's lost you cannot recapture the moment, the thought, the flow
· In the following passages the disciples came and found Jesus, and when they found Him began to have a conversation with Him, let those that follow you see you setting time and protecting the time you set to be with God.
· Remember - prayer is not just talking to God but hearing FROM God - keep a journal of what He is saying and share with others what God has told you
· Psalms 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. KJV
· Mark 6:46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray. KJV
· Luke 6:12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; KJV
· John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. KJV
o If we do not have time alone with God to hear from Him, we may not know what His will for our life is.
