1 Samuel 17:1 Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim.2 And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines. 3 And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them. 1 Samuel 17:1 Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at FENCE/HEDGE, which belongeth to PRAISE/REVERE, and pitched between FENCE/HEDGE and FENCE ABOUT/, in The BOUNDARY OF BLOOD DROPS.2 And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of THE MIGHTY POST, and set the battle in array against the Philistines. 3 And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them. KJV
1 Samuel 17:34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: 35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. 36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. 37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. KJV
- David was not at all shy about praising God for what God had done in his life by delivering him from the lion and the bear, casting his faith in his praise upon The Lord.
Goliath – means to strip bare, publish, advertise ( offspring/accuser of the brethren)
